You trying to scam ME? No, not me!

So uh, I could've would've almost got scammed today. Such an ugly word. Scam. Let me give you the details. I received a phone call early this morning as I was making final adjustments on my schedule for this semester. (I'm taking another creative class this semester by the way. Narrative Techniques!) It was a nice lady named Becky telling me that they reviewed my resume from career builder and they felt with my experience I would be a *perfect match* for their high profile marketing company. Now mind you, I'm 21 and have been a hostess and or a receptionist for all my four or five years in the workforce. I don't even have my BA yet but I can work on marketing projects with high profile clients?? When she didn't sound the least bit concerned about me not having a BA yet I felt a tenny weeny red flag going off. Anywho, when trying to find their website I came across a website called Rip off.com with their company profiled as a BOGUS company. They hire people as *Marketing Assistants* but have them out in the streets selling baseball tickets, massage packets, and the like. That doesn't make you bogus, but guilty of false advertisement. The problem comes in the fact that they do not pay you whatsoever!! They have you going door to door using your gas and soliciting without any pay whatsoever. Who you trying to scam? Me? No, not me!

I CANNOT believe people can get away with that! Holy Schmole. You should write to Career Builder and tell them. I wonder how they paid THAT bill :)

ps Gemini:

they have another scam that they say you work from home but you need to pay a "deposit" on the items and so you pay them the last penny in your pocket and never hear from them again... my aunt fell for that one the soft heart that she is.
