Books, Books, & More Books

So, today was my habitual trip to my school's bookstore to get books for the semester. I already have books for two of my classes since they are the second parts, so I only needed a couple of books. I took the extra scholarship money to peruse the fiction section of the bookstore. I was particularly in search of anything by Stephenie Meyer and or Sophie Kinsella. Lucky me they had one copy of Breaking Dawn (Last book in Twilight Series) left in hardcover for 30% off, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Fitzgerald) for 30% off, and The Host by Stephanie Meyer as well! So, I am super excited. I was even excited to buy my huge Norton Anthology for Shakesphere. Am I weired that books always make me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Especially the classics. Everyone says I should be a professor or a teacher but instead I find myself chasing dreams of the high life lol. Such is life. I've set a couple of New Year's Resolutions even though I always tell myself not to.

  • Read at least 100 Books in 2009
  • Take my Yorkies out for more walks and make even more time for them
  • Take time for me!
  • Graduate with my BA in English with a concentration in literature & Advanced Honors Standing summer of 2009!!!!
  • Dean's list this semester
  • Keep the apt clean
  • Live a more minimalist lifestyle
  • Step out of my comfort zone
  • Try at least one new thing a week. Food, music, whatever.
  • Be good to my skin & body
  • Continue on my journey on the attempt to find if happiness really can exist for me.

Ahhhh. Yet another Edward lover. Welcome to the coven! I have not read the host but after I finish the three books I just got that is next on my list. Enjoy Breaking Dawn. Don't think you have it figured out Stephenie Meyer will surprise you completely. That one was my favorite!

At one point in my life I bought books like a drug addict bought crack. Seriously. I love to read and I think books are the best thing ever.
