Turkey. The star of the show. Here's something I'd like to throw out there. Turkey is dry. I don't care who cooks it, how it's cooked, fried, baked, stuffed; it's dry! I stopped eating Turkey a couple of years ago because I just couldn't stand it anymore. The crunch, the munch, the need to drown it in cranberry sauce just overwhelms me! So, yesterday while spending Thanksgiving with a friend she insisted I would love her mother's turkey. I'm talking traditional Italian cooking here. So, being the polite raised with home training young woman that I am, I put a couple of pieces on my plate. This is after my brother and I stood around and watched the family devour turkey skin. I'm not even going to ask what the luxury is with that one. So, I try a piece while everyone was waiting for a reaction and I had to force a polite smile. DRY. I added some cranberry sauce, which was frozen by the way and still I found no relief. I'm embarking on a mission. Is there anyone out there who's been so blessed to have moist, tender, and juicy turkey? Is there a turkey out there who reigns supreme? Please, someone let me know... Oh, but sweet potatoes with marshmellows and pecans are delish!
Life and times of a girl in search of it all.

ummm yummy! hey if i was trying to follow ur blog but i cant? email me if you want!
I'm so with you on this!! I've never been able to eat turkey because it's always dry. My Mom always takes that as an insult - but it's not in the cooking, it's just the bird! I also get really miffed when people tell me it's just like chicken. It's not even close!!!!
My grandma always serves her turkey already in gravy and it helps to moisten it so its not to dry.
